A Needless Epitaph for my Grandfather Who Wants to be Cremated

 by Jeff Fallis in Wonderland

Inter me not amongst ones loved-I love,
For they are many sprinkled, all and every-
Where.  ‘Stead, don’t care, clasp me in a Dixie
Cup and cast me back to ones I knew by
Heart when fate had chosen all playmates;

History’s not in books but in my bones.
Death is community, and life is alone.
